Dover Earth Fest 2024

Sustainability Fair 2024

The second annual Seacoast Sustainability Fair was held on Sunday April 14 from 12- 3 PM at the Connie Bean Center in Portsmouth. This year we were joined by an assortment of local organizations, businesses, and municipal and state organizations working to improve the climate in our region and state.

Sustainability Fair 2023

The Portsmouth Public Library in partnership with more than 30 local organizations held a free sustainability fair on Friday, April 21 from 4-7 PM at the Connie Bean Recreation Center. All ages were encouraged to join us to learn more about efforts to address climate issues in our community, and find out how to get involved on Earth Day and beyond. There was food, music, and activities for all ages. The library hosted our regular We Craft event in the library’s Levenson Room from 5 to 6:30 PM where people swapped unwanted or unneeded crafts supplies to keep them out of the landfill.

Some of the groups in attendance were the Portsmouth Department of Planning and Sustainability, Planted for the Planet, Mr. Fox Composting, Blue Ocean Society, the Portsmouth High School Eco Club, Beyond Plastics, Portsmouth NH 400 (PNH400), The Juicery, Waste Reduction and Diversion (WRAD), Portsmouth Climate Action, Piscataqua Garden Club, Seacoast Students for Sustainability (SS4S), Southeast Land Trust (SELT), Surfrider Foundation, Seacoast CAN, League of Conservation Voters, Portsmouth Department of Public Works, UNH Marine Docent Program, Seacoast Area Bicycle Riders (SABR), Nature Groupie, Clean Energy NH, Forest Kids, 350NH and others.
